Prelude to Adrar

D1 ATAR - TERGIT

At airport departure will be immediate in car or the minibus towards the southern buttresses of Adrar and the oasis of Tergit, establishment of the bivouac in the dunes and strolls in one of the most beautiful oasis of Adrar. 2h of march/discovery.

D2 FOUM TIZIGUIT - GRARET EL FRAS - AZOUEIGA

Once crossing the erg of Malichig dunes carried out, the team climbs on the mountain of Ibi el Akhdar towards the village of Graret then goes down again on the palm plantation of Azoueiga to the feet of the dunes of the erg of Amatlich. Afternoon excursion in the largest dunes of the erg of.Amatlich

D3 EL GLEITAT - MASTER KEY OF TIFOUJAR

The morning will be devoted to the erg of, Amatlich you cross a great number of palm plantations and cultures surrounded of nomads camping. You will discover the oasis of El Gleitat and Tifoujar or you will install your bivouac, followed in end according to midday by the discovery on foot of this splendid site.

D4 WHITE VALLEY - TOUNGAD - GUELTA OF EL BERBERA

You join with foot the wadi El Abiod. You go up this wadi also named the "white valley" to join the palm plantation of Toungad, the village of Ouagchodda and finally the guelta of El Berber. You will install your bivouac in the Tigmagazine wadi. It may be also that you visit the guelta the following day.

D5 ZERGA - CHINGUETTI

Departure towards the mountain of Zerga. After a short rise of the large dune, the unforgettable panorama on the Ouarane erg will fill you with pleasure. At the beginning of after midday departure, except team towards the old Holy City of Chinguetti regarded as the 7th Holy City of Islam.

D6 CHINGUETTI - ERG OUARANE - OUADANE

Visit of Chinguetti, then departure except team for the oasis of Tanouchert, True Island of green in the ocean of dunes of the Ouarane erg, strolls in the dunes and the oasis. At the end of midday, way be in car direction of Ouadane ruins.

D7 OUADANE - STRONG SAGANE - ATAR

Following the visit of the town of Ouadane, old caravan city, departure towards Amogjar, lunch then descend with foot towards Strong Sagane, return towards Atar at the end of the afternoon, passage to the market, installation in inn.

D8 ATAR - AIRPORT

Transfer to the airport of Atar and take-off for Return.

• Time of march/activity: Daily stages from 2 to 3 hours of walk will enable you to discover all the diversity of Adrar.

• Made uneven - altitude: Weak uneven at low altitude.

• Bearing: no car to transport the material and personal effects. You need simply a small back bag, for your businesses of the day.

• Climate: In general pleasant. Hot temperatures during the day and fresh in the night. The winter months are softest of the Saharan world: of 20° the day in January with 30° in April and of 10° with 20° the night. In April, the temperatures can go up until 35-40°. We adapt the program then and walk the morning very early.

• Engagement: This voyage does not comprise a particular difficulty, if they are not the conditions related to the nature of the desert. It is perfect for a first approach of the Sahara. The supports on sand are not always easy.

• Experiment: Do not require a particular experiment... The desire for discovering the voyage of adventure! It is however necessary to be conscious of insulation and the inherent risks in this type of voyage, as well as rudimentary conditions of comfort. To go to the meeting cultures and different mentalities implies an acceptance of these differences... and their respect.
• Preparation: It requires small a  preparation during the month which precedes your departure. For example, 2 hours of bicycle or four hours of walk during the weekend.
